Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
This policy applies to everything you upload to BlocRec and share as a link. It does not apply to recordings that stay on your own device — those never reach us, and we have no way of seeing them.
1. Recording other people
Record a spoken conversation only with the consent of everyone involved. In Germany doing otherwise is a criminal offence carrying up to three years’ imprisonment (§ 201 StGB), and it applies to participants of the conversation as well. Comparable rules exist in most European countries.
BlocRec always shows a recording indicator and will never offer a hidden or invisible mode. Do not ask us for one.
2. What must not be uploaded
- Content that is unlawful, in particular depictions of child abuse, terrorist content or incitement to hatred.
- Recordings of other people made without the consent they were entitled to give.
- Material that infringes someone else’s copyright, trade secrets or personal rights.
- Malware, phishing pages, or links used to deceive people.
- Other people’s personal data that you have no right to pass on.
3. Fair use of the storage
The plan limits (number of videos, total storage, 2 GB per video) are the agreed scope. Do not use BlocRec as a general-purpose file host or a content delivery network for third parties.
4. What happens if this is breached
We do not monitor uploads and we do not run a public directory of videos — links are unlisted and only reachable by whoever has them. If we receive a substantiated report we will look at the specific link, and we may disable it and, in serious cases, terminate the account. We will tell you what we did and why, unless the law forbids it.
